Insulation Conference, sponsored by the
IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical
Insulation Society, which is devoted to
the practical applications of insulating
materials and the associated diagnostics

- The conference starts on Sunday
evening June 8 at 6 p.m. with a
reception and poster session.
- The oral technical sessions will
start Monday morning at 8 a.m. with the
opening address delivered by Prof. John
Fothergill the recipient of the 2014 T.
W. Dakin Distinguished Technical
- Technical sessions with over 70
papers will cover various topics related
to electrical insulation from a
worldwide assembly of experts from
industry and academia.
- Exhibits from over 20 vendors are
scheduled during the lunch breaks on
Monday and Tuesday. A list of

- Short courses will be taught on
Sunday, June 8. Five half day sessions
have been identified and are detailed on
the conference web site.
- The presentation of the Dakin
Award will be made during the Tuesday
evening awards banquet. Cost of the
banquet ticket is included in the full

- The Materials Subcommittee of the
IEEE Power & Energy Society will hold a
number of Working Group meetings
relating to various industry standards
on rotating machine insulation on
Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday
